RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RICHMOND COUNTY
LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO SUPPORT
LEGISLA TION TO SEEK FUNDING FOR ST ATE
SUPPLEMENTS OF APPRAISAL STAFF SALARIES
WHEREAS, legislation proposing funding for state supplements of
appraisal staff salaries has been under consideration by the General Assembly for
years; and
WHEREAS, in past years, funding for state supplements of appraisal staff
salaries has been deleted from the final budget; and
WHEREAS, providing funding would allow counties to offer higher
salaries to appraisal staff without burdening the local budget; and
WHEREAS, his/her salaries will allow counties to retain experienced
personnel and attract qualified employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE AUGUSTA-
RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION encourages the Richmond-County
Legislative Delegation to seek funding for state supplements of appraisal staff
salaries.
