RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RICHMOND COUNTY
LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO SEEK FUNDING FOR
DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE TO SUPPORT STATE-
WIDE WINGAP COMPUTER ASSISTED MASS
APPRAISAL
WHEREAS, Richmond County is currently the largest county usmg
WinGap Computer Assistated Mass Appraisal (CAMA); and
WHEREAS, Augusta is experiencing continuing problems with WinGap
CAMA; and
WHEREAS, due to the Win Gap CAMA problems, Augusta is having
difficulties with complying with State mandates.
WHEREAS, the Department of Revenue has provided some technical
personnel and equipment support for the problems; and
WHEREAS, the ability of DOR to provide technical support is hampered
by inadequate funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE AUGUSTA-
RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION encourages Richmond-County
Legislative Delegation to seek funding for technical personnel and equipment
within the Department of Revenue for purpose of supporting WinGap Computer
Assisted Mass Appraisal.
Duly adopted this /5~ day of January, 2002 by a vote of ?f yeas
