RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RICHMOND COUNTY
LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO CHANGE THE FUNDING
ALLOCATION ON MOTOR FUEL PRODUCTS TO PROVIDE ONE
PERCENT OF THE THREE PERCENT TO THE LOCAL ASSISTANCE
ROAD PROGRAM (LARP)
WHEREAS, Augusta believes motor fuel tax should be used to fund Local
Assistance Road Program (LARP); and
WHEREAS, Augusta believes that one percent of the three percent tax on motor
fuel should be allocated for the purpose of flmding LARP; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE AUGUSTA-
RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION encourages the Richmond County Legislative
Delegation to support legislation authorizing allocation of one percent of the three percent
of the tax on motor fuel for the purpose of funding the LARP program.
Duly adopted this I?~ day of January, 2002 by a vote of ~ yeas and
