RESOLUTION
FINDING THAT A PORTION OF FENWICK STREET SHOULD
BE REMOVED FROM THE COUNTY ROAD SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Augusta-Richmond County Commission resolved by
Resolution dated June 17, 2008, that the following street in Richmond County,
Georgia, should be removed from the county road system: Fenwick Street, as
shown on the plat previously recorded in Book 1, pages 950-951 and described in
Exhibit "A".
WHEREAS, such removal will not affect adjacent property owners as the
County owns the property surrounding the subject portion of Fenwick Street;
WHEREAS, by virtue of the events set forth above, the property identified
as Fenwick Street, is deemed no longer a part of the Richmond County road
system;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows:
1. It is hereby determined that all requirements of Georgia law for the
removal of a county roadway have been met and that the street referred to in the
Augusta-Richmond County. Commission's June 17, 2008 Resolution, and
described as that portion of Fenwick Street as recorded in Book 1, pages 950-951
and described as Exhibit "A", is no longer a part of the Richmond County Road
System.
2. This Resolution shall be recorded in the Minutes of the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission, accompanied by the exhibit referred to herein.
