RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION REQUESTING STATE OF GEORGIA
TO EXPEDITE THE DESIGN, FUNDING, AND
CONSTRUCTION OF THE SAVANNAH RIVER
pARKwAY AND THE FALL LINE FREEWAY
PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the availability of an improved highway system
linking Augusta with Savannah and other parts of the state are
essential to the growth and economic development of Augusta and the
Central Say~nnah River Area; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the design and funding for these
projects are years away from making such projects a reality; and
WHEREAS, expediting these projects would be a tremendous
benefit to Augusta and the surrounding community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission that the Richmond County Legislative Delegation
is requested to assist in expediting the design, funding and
construction of the Savannah River Parkway and the Fall Line
Freeway.
Duly adopted by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission
