RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the East Central Georgia Regional Library operates the library
system throughout Richmond, Burke, Columbia, Glascock. Lincoln, and Warren Counties; and
WHEREAS, the East Central Georgia Regional Library currently utilizes a 1989
model van with mileage in excess of 300,000 miles, which van is used throughout the library
system; and
WHEREAS, the East Central Georgia Regional Library is in need of a new van to
be used throughout the library system; and
WHEREAS, the East Central Georgia Regional Library has requested $25,000.00
from the State of Georgia to purchase this van;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE AUGUST A-
RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION supports the East Central Georgia Regional Library's
request for funding for a new van to service the library system and urges the Richmond County
Legislative Delegation to seek such funding from the State;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded
to the Richmond County Legislative Delegation in support of the request for such funding.
