A RESOLUTION BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE CSRA YOUTH AT RISK TASK FORCE
PROGRAM AND THE SUPPORT OF THEIR INITIATIVES BY AUGUSTA-
RICHMOND COUNTY, GEORGIA; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it is one of Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia's highest priorities to protect our
youth; and
WHEREAS, Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia desires to eliminate gang membership,
truancy, drug use, delinquency, and verbal and physical violence among its youth; and
WHEREAS, the CSRA Youth at Risk Task Force strives to transform the lives of Augusta-
Richmond County, Georgia youth that are troubled or display the aforementioned high risk
indicators; and
WHEREAS, the CSRA Youth at Risk Task Force is committed to openly partnering with all
youth-serving agencies, school districts, universities, and juvenile justice agencies to achieve
prevention of youth violence, drug abuse, and delinquency; and
WHEREAS, the Augusta-Richmond County Commission would like to recognize this program
that proactively attempts to diminish the problem of delinquent youth;
THE AUGUST A-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
Section One: The Augusta-Richmond County Commission supports the CSRA Youth at Risk
Task Force in its fight to eradicate the dilemma oftroubled youth and to enhance the
effectiveness of the people who interact with them.

foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission on
