RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE
ONSOLlDATED STRATEGY AND PLAN WHICH INCLUDES AMENDED 1993, 1994 AND
995 FINAL STATEMENTS OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND
ROJECTED USE OF FUNDS AND GRANTING THE AUTHORITY TO EXECUTE THE
OMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AS APPROVED.
WHEREAS, THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION.:COUNCIL has
vailed itself of the provisions of the Housingand Community Development Act of 1974,
samended and the Housing and Community Developm.~nt Act of 1987, as amended;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to file amended 1993, 1994 and 1995 Final Statements
f Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds for Community
Development Block Grant Funds incorporating changes after citizens have been afforded
he opportunity to comment and express their concerns; arid
WHEREAS, the amendments are necessary due to project overruns and unused
funds in the amount of $55,750 during Fiscal Years 1993, 1994 and 1995; and
WHEREAS, in order to expedite the Community Development Block Grant Program,
the Housing and Neighborhood Development Department is given authority to act in
connection with the submission of the amended final statements, to provide such
additional information as may be required, and to administer the Community Development
Block Grant program as approved by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission-Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Housing and
Neighborhood Development Department be authorized to prepare and file the amended
Final Statements of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds for
the 199~, 1994 and 1995 Community Development Block Grant program and amendments
thereto as well as provide the required assurances, certifications, and execution of the
Grant Agreement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Housing and Neighborhood Development
Department. be authorized to act in connection with the submission of the amended
Consolidated Strategy and Plan which includes amended 1993, 1994 and 1995 Final
Statements of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds for
Community Development Block Grant Funds, to provide such additional information as
may be required, and to administer the Community Development Block Grant Program as
approved by Augusta-Richmond Commission-Council in compliance with all applicable
laws, rules, and regulations.
