RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION REQUESTING ADDITIONAL
APPOINTMENfS BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND
COUNTY COMMISSION TO THE COLISEUM
AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, under the Act creating the Augusta-Richmond
County Coliseum Authority four members were to be appointed by the
Board of Commissioners of Richmond County and four members were to
be appointed by the governing authority of the City of Augusta; and
WHEREAS, upon consolidation of the City of Augusta and
Richmond County, said eight members are appointed by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission, with each member of the eight single
districts having one appointment to said Coliseum Authority; and
WHEREAS, Commissioners representing Commission districts
9 and 10, which are super districts, do not currently have
appointees to the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission that the appointments by the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission be increased to ten members such that each Commissioner
would have one appointee to the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum
Authority;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND

COUNTY COMMISSION that request be made to the Richmond County
Legislative Delegation to increase the number of appointments to
the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission to ten, such that each Augusta-Richmond
County Commissioner would have one appointee to said Authority.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be
submitted to the Richmond County Legislative Delegation.
