RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT
January 8, 1999
Ms. Toni Dunagan, State Transportation
Planning Administrator
GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION
#2 Capitol Square
Atlanta, Georgia 30334
Re: Augusta State University Multi-modal and Beautification TEA Project
Ms. Dunagan:
The Augusta-Richmond County Commission supports the above referenced project to be
partially funded by a Transportation Enhancement Activity (TEA) application. We
believe the proposed improvements will encourage greater use of alternative
transportation modes-walking, cycling and mass transit, reduce reliance on single
occupant vehicles, and beautify the entry to the Augusta State University campus.
Stephen E. Shepard, Commissioner
