RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
FOR MAX BURNS
WHEREAS, U.S. Representative Max Burns is a member of the U.S. House of
Representatives House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
WHEREAS, Congressman Burns while serving his first term in Congress has
worked to secure funding through the passage of H.R. 2989 which passed the U.S.
House of Representatives on September 9, 2003 and S. 1589 which passed the U.S.
Senate on October 23, 2003 for the following transportation and infrastructure projects in
the Augusta area: $2 million for Augusta Rail Relocation Project, $2,5 million for Augusta
Regional Airport and $4 million for the Bobby Jones Expressway (1-20) Extension, Phase
II.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED that the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission does hereby express its thanks and appreciation to Congressman Max
Burns for his outstanding service to our community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOL VED that this Resolution be spread upon the official
Minutes of the Augusta-Richmond County Commission, and a copy hereof given to
Congressman Burns. .
