RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF UTILITY EASEMENTS TO THE
AUGUSTA UTILITIES DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, from time to time the Augusta Utilities Department must install sanitary
sewer Jines across certain property of Augusta, Georgia, and
WHEREAS, the recording of a permanent utility easement will aid individuals in locating
such easements and sewer lines in the future, and
WHEREAS, utility easements from Augusta, Georgia to the Augusta Utilities
Department have been executed and recorded, with or without the adoption of a resolution
authorizing the grant of such resolution; and
WHEREAS, to expedite the work of the Augusta Utilities Department and reduce the
amount of paperwork required to obtain such easements, and acknowledge the approval of such
prior easements, it is appropriate for the Augusta-Richmond County Commission to ratify
and approve all heretofore executed easements from Augusta, Georgia to the Augusta
Utilities Department and to authorize the Mayor to execute utility easements in favor of
the Augusta Utilities Department without further approval of the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows:
1. The Augusta-Richmond County Commission does hereby ratify and
approve all heretofore executed easements from Augusta, Georgia to the
Augusta Utilities Department.
2. It is further determined that the Mayor of Augusta, Georgia is authorized
to execute utility easements for the installation of sanity sewer lines across
property of Augusta, Georgia to the Augusta Utilities Department upon

the request of the Augusta Utilities Department, such easements to be in
form satisfactory to the County Attorney.
This resolution shall be recorded in the Minutes of the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission.
Duly adopted by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission, this tsfctay of
