Smith Augusta Public W orks an~ Engineering 1815 Marvin Griffin Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906-3811 (AUaU3TA.RICHMorm COUNT'{ COMMlstIO~? , Re: Topographic Survey of No-Name Creek tributary to Rae's Creek Augusta, Georgia Dear Ms. Smith: In accordance with your request, we are pleased to offer the following proposal for accomplishing the necessary surveying services for Flood Damage Reduction Study of a portion of N 0- Name Creek, a tributary to Rae's Creek, Augusta, Georgia. This letter outlines the project as we understand it, and the scope o~ services offered, and the proposed fees. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project consists of approximately Y2 (one-half) stream mile beginning at the confluence of Rae's and No-Name Creeks traversing upstream across Ingleside a~d Boy Scout Roads. SCOPE OF WORK We proposed to make a field survey along the centerline of No-Name Creek starting at the confluence of Rae's Creek and traversing upstearn 500 feet west of Boy Scout Road. We will take 13 cross sections, details on four bridge/culvert crossings, finish floor elevations on 28 houses and set benchmarks at each culvert crossing as required by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Scope ofW ork for No-Name Creek dated July 15 and 21,2005, including Appendix A, B, C, D and E. We will accomplish vertical control surveys to relate the elevations to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 and relate horizontal coordinates to the North American Datum of 1983, Georgia State Plane, East Zone-. Using this field data, we proposed to prepare a map showing location of bridges/culverts, cross sections of the surveyed area, along with field books showing detailed sketches. J ,. . .' Ms. Teresa C. Smith August 17, 2005 Page 2 FEE PROPOSAL Our fee for the above mentioned work will be based on a lump sum fee of $19, 500.00. We would expect to submit our invoice upon completion of the work and to receive payment within fifteen days thereafter. TIME OF COMPLETION Weare prepared to begin work at your direction and expect to present you with the completed map within 35 days, thereafter. Your signature in the space provided on a copy of this letter returned to us and your purchase order will be our authority to proceed with the work. We appreciate the opportunity of submitting this proposal and trust that you find it satisfactory.
