Engineering proposal for 2000 Bond CIP Project J 0235:
Etterlee Road Water Lines.
Approve proposal from James G. Swift and Associates in the
amount of $52,000 for engineering services required for
design and construction of the Etterlee Road Water Lines
project. (Funded by Account No. 509043410-
5212115/80110235-5212115)
The Etterlee Road Project will provide approximately 5,800
linear feet of 10" water main, and 3,000 linear feet of 6"
water main, 15 fire hydrants, 66 water services, 320 linear
feet of 20" steel casing road bores, 240 linear feet of 12"
steel casing road bores, and various other appurtenances to
residents in the Etterlee Road area. Survey of the proposed
water main routes to determine property boundaries, utilities,
and other physical encroachments will be conducted, and
easement plats as needed, will be prepared for lines that cross
private property. Additionally, this proposal provides for
periodic inspections during construction of this project.
Accepting this proposal will provide for the design of water
service to customers within the Etterlee Road area.

With regard to the above referenced project, we appreciate the opportunity to submit the
following proposal for engineering, surveying and design services.
r. Deans Bridge Road & Bath-Edie Road Water System Improvements. The
project will consist of approximately 14,000 LF of 12" water main, 28 fire hydrants,
62 water services, 315 LF of 22" steel casing road bores, and various other
appurtenances. The total project construction cost is estimated to be $600,000.

In the event there is a need for additional services beyond the scope of the work, such
work will be compensated on a unit fee basis as shown below:
Engineering = $1 as/hr. Inspector = $65/hr. Computer Disk = $S/each
Field Crew = $1 as/hr. Drafting = $45/hr. Mylar = $1. SO/SF
Surveyor = $87/hr. Secretarial = $320/hr. Blueprints = $O.SO/SF
Easement or Right-of-Way Plats = $13S/parcel Mail/Correspondence = Cost + 25%
Compensation for services will be billed at the completion of said seNices. Payment will
be due within 30 days of the billing date. A service charge of 1.5% per month will be
assigned to late payments.
The owner or his representative shall provide all information, records, plans, soil tests,
environmental assessments, or other such data incidental to completion of plan design.
The owner or his representative shall be responsible for all fees incidental to the plan
submittal, review, and approval process, including but not limited to wetland delineation.
