HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7190 JIMME DYESS PARKWAYORDINANCE NO. 719 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta - Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta - Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone R -1C (One - family Residential) to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting property located where the east right -of -way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway intersects the north right -of -way of the CSX Railroad line; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone R -1C (One - family Residential) to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Z _ ) D- y3 r • Beginning at a point located where the east right -of -way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway intersects the north right -of -way of the CSX Railroad line; thence, in a northerly direction along the east right -of -way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway a distance of 2,180 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 700 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 610 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 980 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 230 feet, more or less, to a point located on the north right -of -way of the CSX Railroad line; thence, in a westerly direction along the north right -of -way of the CSX Railroad line a distance of 850 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 21.84 acres. (part of Tax Maps 066-0- 058 -00- 0, 066 -4- 008 -00 -0 and 081 -0- 009 -00 -0) SECTION Il.
