ORDINANCE NO. 7189
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta -
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
P -1 (Professional) to Zone R -lE (One - family Residential)affecting property located
on the northeast corner of the intersection of Walton Way and Heard Avenue; and
for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone P -1 (Professional) to Zone R -1 E (One - family
Residential)affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Walton
Way and Heard Avenue; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast
right -of -way of Heard Avenue a distance of 114 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
in a southeasterly direction a distance of 148 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in
a southwesterly direction a distance of 62 feet, more or less, to a point located on the
north right -of -way line of Walton Way; thence, in a westerly direction along the
north right -of -way line of Walton Way a distance of 157 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning. This property contains two tax parcels that total .32 acres and
are known as 846 and 850 Heard Avenue. (Tax Map 035 -3- 345 -00 -0 and 035 -3-
346-00-0)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
