HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7187 JACKSON STREETORDINANCE NO. 7 187 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta - Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone RAC (One - family Residential) to Zone R -1 E (One- family Residential) affecting property described as Tract A - beginning at a point located on the south right -of- way line of Lumpkin Road, 265 feet, more or less, west of the southwest corner of the intersection of Jackson Street and Lumpkin Road and Tract B - beginning at a point located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Jefferson Street and Jackson Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R - C (One - family Residential) to Zone R - E (One - family Residential)affecting property as follows: Tract A - Beginning at a point located on the south right -of -way line of Lumpkin Road, 265 feet, more or less, west of the southwest corner of the intersection of Jackson Street and Lumpkin Road; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 265 feet to a point located on the northwest right -of -way line of Jackson Street; thence, in a southwesterly direction along the northwest right -of -way line of Jackson Street a distance of 222 feet, more or less, to a point located on the north right -of -way line of Jefferson Street; thence, in a westerly direction along the north right -of -way line of Jefferson Street a distance of 243 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 168 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 42 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 94 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 138 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 2 acres and consists of six tax parcels that are known as 2210 -12 and 2214 -16 Lumpkin Road; 2901 -03, 2905 -2907 and 2909 -11 Jackson Street ; and 2901 -03 and 2905 -07 Jefferson Street. (Tax Map 109- 2 -017- Z,(0 -3� 00 -0, 109 -0- 016 -00 -0, 110 -1- 021 -00 -0, 110 -1- 022 -00 -0, 110 -1- 023 -00 -0, 109-2 - 018 -00 -0 and 109 -2- 019 -00 -0) Tract B — Beginning at a point located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Jefferson Street and Jackson Street; thence, in a southwesterly direction along the northwest right -of -way line of Jackson Street a distance of 722 feet, more or less, to a point located on the southeast right -of -way line of Jefferson Street; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right -of -way line of Jefferson Street a distance of 745 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 3.23 acres and consists of eleven tax parcels that are known as 2913- 15, 2917 -19, 2921 -23, 2925 -27, 2929 -31, 2933 -35, and 2937 -39 Jackson Street and 2902 -04, 2906 -08, 2910 -12 and 2914 -16 Jefferson Street. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 19 day of .Tune 5 2010.
