HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7186 BAKER AVENUEORDINANCE NO. 7186 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta - Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone B -1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting property located where the southeast right -of -way line of Baker Avenue intersects the west right -of -way line of Murphy Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B -1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located where the southeast right -of -way line of Baker Avenue intersects the west right -of -way line of Murphy Street; thence, S 02 °59'44" W along the west right -of -way line of Murphy Street a distance of 233.54 feet to a point; thence, N 87 °06'08" W a distance of 102.85 feet to a point located on the southeast right -of -way line of Baker Avenue; thence, N 26 °44'52" E a distance of 255.34 feet to the point of beginning. This property totals .28 acres and is known as 900 Baker Avenue. (Tax Map 045 -1- 071 -00 -0, 045 -1- 071 -01 -0 and 045 -1- 072 -00 -0) SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta Richmond County is subject to the following stipulations: 1)the only use of the property be an ambulance substation or those uses allowed in a B -1 (Neighborhood Business Zone) and 2) a 6 foot chain link fence with motion detected illumination be allowed around the rear of the property. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 15 day of June 2010.
