ORDINANCE NO. 1 2 3
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta -
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta - Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
R -IA (One- family Residential) and Zone B -2 (General Business) to Zone B -2
(General Business) affecting property located where the northwest right -of -way line
of Deans Bridge Road intersects the northeast right -of -way line Murphey Road;
and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R -lA (One - family Residential) and Zone B -2
(General Business) to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located where the northwest right -
of -way line of Deans Bridge Road intersects the
northeast right -of -way line Murphey Road; thence, in a
northwesterly direction along the northeast right -of -way
line of Murphey Road a distance of 375 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a
distance of 178 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
in a southeasterly direction a distance of 375 feet,
more or less, to a point located on the northwest right -
of -way line of Deans Bridge Road; thence, in a
southwesterly direction along the northwest right -of -way
line of Deans Bridge Road a distance of 183 feet, more
or less, to the point of beginning. This property
contains approximately 1.59 acres and is known as 2549
Deans Bridge Road. (Part of Tax Map
071 -3- 201 -00 -0)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
