ORDINANCE NO._f,
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta -
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
LI (Light Industry) to Zone B -2 (General Business) affecting property located on the
southwest right -of -way line of Broad Street, 25 feet, more or less, southeast of a
point where the centerline of King Mill Street extended intersect; and for the repeal
of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone B -2 (General
Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest right -of-
way line of Broad Street, 25 feet, more or less,
southeast of a point where the centerline of King Mill
Street extended intersect; thence, S 68 0 38'43" E a
distance of 280.74 feet to a point located on the
northwest right -of -way line of an unnamed Alley; thence,
S 22 ° 09 1 56" W along the northwest right -of -way line of
an unnamed Alley a distance of 117.13 feet to a point
located on the northeast right -of -way line of an unnamed
Alley; thence, N 67 0 34 "09" W along the northeast right -
of -way line of an unnamed Alley a distance of 276.75
feet to a point located n the southeast right -of -way
line of an unnamed Alley; thence, N 20 ° 07 1 54" E along
the southeast right -of -way line of an unnamed Alley a
distance of 111.94 feet to the point of beginning. This
property consists of six tax parcels that total .72
acres and are known as 1590 -1592, 1596 -1598, 1602 -1604,
1606 -1608, 1612 -1614 and 1618 -1620 Broad Street. (Tax
Map 036 -1- 103 -00 -0, 036 -1- 104 -00 -0, 036 -1- 105 -00 -0, 036-
1- 106 -00 -0, 036 -1- 107 -00 -0 and 036 -1- 108 -00 -0)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
