An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta - Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from
Zone A ( Agriculture) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property located
where the northwest right -of -way line of Dixon Airline Road intersects with the
northeast right -of -way of the Central of Georgia Railroad line; and for the repeal
of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA - RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A ( Agriculture) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry)
affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located where the northwest right -
of -way line of Dixon Airline Road intersects with the
northeast right -of -way of the Central of Georgia
Railroad line; thence, in a northwesterly direction
along the northeast right -of -way of the Central of
Georgia Railroad line a distance of 2,120 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a
distance of 785 feet, more or less, to a point located
on the centerline of Butler Creek' thence, in an
easterly direction along the centerline of Butler Creek
a distance of 3,290 feet, more or less, to a point
located on the west right -of -way line of Doug Barnard
Parkway; thence, in a southerly direction along the west
right -of -way line of Doug Barnard Parkway a distance of

702 feet, more or less to a point; thence, in a
southwesterly direction a distance of 277 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a
distance of 1,022 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 1,993
feet, more or less, to a point located on the northwest
right -of -way line of Dixon Airline Road; thence, in a
southeasterly direction along the northwest right -of -way
line of Dixon Airline Road a distance of 913 feet, more
or less, to the point of beginning. This property
contains approximately 135 acres and is known as 1641
Dixon Airline Road. (Tax Map 135 -0- 005 -00 -0)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
