An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
A (Agriculture) to Zone R-IC (One-family Residential) with a Special Exception
per Section 11-2 (a) to allow single family attached dwellings to not exceed a
density of 7 units per acre affecting property located on the southeast right-of-way
line of Belair Road, 20 feet, more or less, northeast of where Devereux Drive
intersects; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-IC (One-family
Residential) with a Special Exception per Section 11-2 (a) to allow single family attached
dwellings to not exceed a density of 7 units per acre affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of-
way line of Belair Road, 20 feet, more or less,
northeast of where Devereux Drive intersects; thence,
in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-
of-way line of Belair Road a distance of 55 feet, more
or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly
direction a distance of 757 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance
of 129 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a
northerly direction a distance of 505 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a
distance of 145 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
in a northerly direction a distance of 221 feet, more or
less, to the point of beginning. This property contains
approximately 2.1 acres and is known as 3646 Belair
Road. (Tax Map 053-0-042-01-00
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
