A resolution by ilie Augusta-Richmond County Planning Commission recommending iliat tbe
Subdivision Regulations for Augusta Ricbmond County be amended as follows:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION OF THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF
AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, ADoPTED BY THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION ON MARCH 18,
1997 BY PROVIDING FOR ADDmONAL INFORMATION TO BE INCLUDED ON THE
SUBDIVISION PLAN:
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That tbe Ordinance regulating the subdivision of land in Augusta, Georgia, is amended
by deleting Section 600 (D) - Denial of a variance
D. If a request for a variance to the Subdivision Regulations is denied by the Planning
Commission, then iliat request or a request which is similar or serves ilie same purpose in
ilie opinion of ilie Executive Director shall not be considered for a period of one year (l)
from the date of the decision.
SECTION II. That the Ordinance regulating ilie subdivision of land in Augusta, Georgia, is amended
by adding a new Section 600 (F) - Denial andlor expiration of a variance

Commission, ilien iliat request or a request which is similar or serves the same purpose in
ilie opinion of ilie Executive Director shall not be considered for a period of one year (l)
from the date of the decision.
if a request for a variance to ilie Subdivision Regulations is approved by ilie Planning
Commission ilien ilie applicant or their representative must file the plat and/or any related
documents to ilie variance within one (l) year of ilie approval of ilie variance or the
variance shall no longer be valid.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict wiili this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
