HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 7139 JAMES BROWN BOULEVARD ORDINANCE NO.~j9 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-IC (One-family Residential) and Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone R-IE (One-family Residential) affecting property located at a point located where the southeast right-of-way line of James Brown Boulevard intersects the northeast right-of-way line of Hopkins Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-IC (One-family Residential) and Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone R-IE (One-family Residential) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located where the southeast right- of-way line of James Brown Boulevard intersects the no;rtheast right-of-way line of Hopkins Street; thence, in a northerly direction along the southeast right-of- way line of James Brown Boulevard a distance of 435 feet, more or less, to a point located where the southwest right-of-way line of Adams Street intersects; thence, in an easterly direction along the southwest right-of.-way line of Adams Street a distance of 230 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 78 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 80 z,oi'3} ..... ~ ~ ... feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 78 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 159 feet, more or less, to a point located on the northwest right-of-way line of Summer Street; thence, in a southerly direction along the northwest right-of-way line of Summer Street a distance of 273 feet, more or less, to a point located where the northeast right-of- way line of Hopkins Street intersects; thence, in a westerly direction along the northeast right-of-way line of Hopkins Street a distance of 309 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 2.6 acres and contains multiple parcels. A list of the parcels is available in the Planning Commission office. SECTION II.
