ORDINANCE NO. 7095
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
A (Agriculture) to Zone B-2 (General Business) with a Special Exception for an
extended stay hotel per Section 22-2 (d) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for
Augusta-Richmond County affecting property located on the southwest right-of-way
line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway, approximately located across Jimmie Dyess
Parkway from the Harper Frankline Avenue intersection; and for the repeal of
ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA~RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is
amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone B-2
(General Business) with a Special Exception for an extended stay hotel per Section 22-2 (d) of
the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta-Richmond County affecting property as
follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-way line of Jimmie Dyess
Parkway, approximately located across Jimmie Dyess Parkway from the Harper
Frankline Avenue intersection; thence S 74022'34" W a distance of359.10 feet to
a point; thence, N 15036'04" W a distance of 606.53 feet to a point; thence, N
74022'33" E a distance of 359.10 feet to a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway; thence, S 15036'04" E along the southwest
right-of-way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway a distance of 606.53 feet to the point
of beginning. This property contains approximately 5 acres and was recently
assigned the address of 3959 Jimmie Dyess Parkway. (part of Tax Map 066-0-
056-03-0)
SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta-Richmond County is
subject to the following stipulation:
1) that after the site is developed a study shall be conducted by the City of Augusta to see if a
signal is warranted at the Jimmie Dyess Parkway/Harper Franklin Drive intersection.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
