An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond
County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive
Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone
R-lA (One-family Residential) to Zone R-3B (Multiple-family Residential)
affecting property located on the east right-of-way line of Hopetown Drive (private),
335 feet, more or less, east of Bertram Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in
conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by
changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-lA (One-family Residential) to Zone R-3B
(Multiple-family Residential) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the east right-of-way
line of Hopetown Drive (private), 335 feet, more or
less, east of Bertram Road; thence, in an easterly
direction a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance
of 306 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a
westerly direction a distance of 500 feet, more or less,
to a point located on the east right-of-way line of
Abaca Lane (private); thence, in a northerly direction
along the east right-of-way line of Abaca Lane (dead
end); a distance a distance of 25 feet, more or less, to
a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance
of 100 feet, more or less, to a point located on the
east right-of-way line of Hopetown Drive (dead end);
thence, in a northeasterly direction along the east
right-of-way line of Hopetown Drive (dead end) a
distance of 25 feet, more or less, to the point of
beginning. This property contains approximately 3
acres. (Tax Map 012-0-136-02-0)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
