ORDINANCE NO. 7054
A resolution by the Augusta-Richmond County Planning Commission recommending that the
Site Plan Regulations be amended as follows:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE SITE PLAN REGULATIONS OF AUGUSTA,
GEORGIA, ADOPTED BY THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION ON OCTOBER 20, 1998

BY PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO BE INCLUDED ON THE
SITE PLAN.
THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Ordinance regulating Site Plans in Augusta, Georgia, is amended by
deleting the following at Article III, Section 302, at Subsection F.
F. Sidewalks may be required by the City Engineer, but they are not required as a
minimum standard. Sidewalks, where installed, shall meet the construction standards
of the City Engineer.
SECTION II That the Ordinance regulating Site Plans in Augusta, Georgia, is amended by
adding the following at Article III, Section 302, at Subsection F
F. Sidewalks must be provided for on any site plan where a project is adjacent to
an existing street that is classified as an arterial or collector in the Highway
Functional Classification System within the Augusta-Richmond County
Urbanized Area as defined by the Augusta Regional Transportation Study.
Sidewalks may also be required on other streets where a project is in close
proximity to a school, at the discretion of the Traffic Engineer. Where
installed, sidewalks shall meet the construction standards of the Traffic
Engineer.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
