ORDINANCE NO.~ 1
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone R-1C (One-family Residential) and Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property
located on the west right-of-way line of Cherry Street, 147.91 feet north of
Washington Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1C (One-family Residential) and
Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as
follows:

Beginning at a point located on the west right-of-
way line of Cherry Street, 147.91 feet north of
Washington Road; thence, N 86042'29u W a distance
of 233.18 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly
direction a distance of 385 feet, more or less, to
a point located on the south right-of-way line of
the Seaboard Coastline Railroad line; thence, N
79013' 38u E along the south right-of-way line of
the Seaboard Coastline Railroad line a distance of
148.49 feet to a point located on the west right-
of-way line of Cherry Street; thence, in a
southerly direction along the west right-of-way
line of Cherry Street a distance of 570 feet, more
or less, to the point of beginning. This property
contains 1.63 acres and known under the present
numbering system as 107, 109, 111, 113, 115 & 117
Cherry Street. (Tax Map 011 Parcels 008, 009, 010,
011, 012 & 013)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
