HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6980 OLD WAYNESBORO ROAD COVINGTON PLACE 2_07- Ca~ .. ... .,. y ORDINANCE NO. 6980 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions o~ the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-l (One-family Residential) to Zone R-IC (One-family Residential) affecting property located on the west right-of-way line of Old Waynesboro Road, 95 feet, more or less, north of Covington Place; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-l (One-family Residential) to Zone R-l C (One-family Residential) affecting property as follows: . . . I Beginning at a point located on the west right-of- way line of Old Waynesboro Road, 95 feet, more or less, north of Covington Place; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 1,928 feet, more or less, to a point located on the north right-of- way line of Engle Road (dead end); thence, in a westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of Engle Road (dead end) a distance of 50 feet, more or les, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 436 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 2,387 feet, more or less, to a point located on the west right-of-way line of Old Waynesboro Road; thence in a southerly direction along the west right-of-way line of Old Waynesboro Road a distance of 544 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 15 acres and is the remaining portion of 3745 Old Waynesboro. (Tax Map 170-2, Parcel 054) SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 1L day of June, 2007. APPROVED THIS June 19 ,2007.
