Home My WebLink AboutORD 6978 GORDON HIGHWAY MADRID DRIVE .; -z...oi-S3 , ORDINANCE NO. 6978 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property located on the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway, 1,995 feet, more or less, southwest of where Madrid Drive extended intersects; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone LI (Light Industry) affecting property as follows: ~ ~ ... Beginning at a point located on the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway, 1,995 feet, more or less, southwest of where Madrid Drive extended intersects; thence, S 68040' 09" W along the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway a distance of 200 feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 670 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 600 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 400 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 410 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 253.10 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 6.5 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 2337 Gordon Highway. (part of Tax Map 067 Parcel 004) SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 12- day of June ,2007.
