ORDINANCE NO. 6974
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia II by changing the
zoning from Zone RI-A (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property located on the west right-of-way line of Barton
Chapel Road, 285 feet, more or less, north of Ditmas Road; and for the repeal
of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone RI-A (One-family Residential) to Zone
B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the west right-of-
way line of Barton Chapel Road, 285 feet, more or
less, north of Ditmas Road; thence, in a westerly
direction a distance of 155 feet, more or less, to
a point; thence, in a northerly direction a
distance of 83 feet, more or less, to a point;
thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 155
feet, more or less, to a point located on the west
right-of-way line of Barton Chapel Road; thence, in
a southerly direction along the west right-of-way
line of Barton Chapel Road a distance of 83 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning. This
property contains .28 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 2663 Barton Chapel
Road. (Tax Map 095 Parcel 006)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this
