HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6970 TELFAIR STREET ORDINANCE NO. 6970 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) affecting property located on the northeast right-of-way line of Telfair Street, 64.0 feet northwest of Sixth Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-2 (General Business) to Zone R-IA (One-family Residential) affecting property as follows: 2_C7~YS Beginning at a point located on the northeast right-of- way line of Telfair Street, 64.0 feet northwest of Sixth Street; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of-way line of Telfair Street a distance of 50.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 173.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 114.0 feet to a point located on the northwest right-of-way line of Sixth Street; thence, in a southwesterly direction along the northwest right-of-way line of Sixth Street a distance of 52.0 feet to a point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 64.0 feet to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 120.0 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains .28 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 609 Telfair Street. (Tax Map047-1 Parcel 250) SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 12- day of Ap r i 1 , 2007.
