An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A
(Agriculture) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located where the
south right-of-way line of Powell Road intersects the northeast right-of-way line
of Jimmie Dyess Parkway; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for
other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property as follows:

Beginning at a point located where the south right-of-
way line of Powell Road intersects the northeast right-
of-way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway; thence, in an
easterly direction along the south right-of-way line of
Powell Road a distance of 250 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of
177 feet, more or less, to appoint located on the
northeast right-of-way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway;
thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast
right-of-way line of Jimmie Dyess Parkway a distance of
261 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a
northerly direction a distance of 85 feet, more or less,
to the point of beginning. This property contains .8
acres and is known under the present numbering system as
1400 Powell Road. (Tax Map 039 Parcel 059-01)
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 1 ~ day of April ,2007.
