An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone B-1
(Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located
on the south right-of-way line of Jenkins Street, 65 feet, more or less, west of
Tuttle Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the south right-of-way
line of Jenkins Street, 65 feet, more or less, west of
Tuttle Street; thence, in a southerly direction a
distance of 160.00 feet to a point located on the north
right-of-way line of Franklin Lane; thence, in a
westerly direction a long the north right-of-way line of
Franklin Lane a distance of 80.0 feet to a point;
thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 160.0
feet to a point located on the south right-of-way line
of Jenkins Street; thence, in an easterly direction
along the south right-of-way line of Jenkins Street a
distance of 80.0 feet to the point of beginning. This
property contains .29 acres and is known under the
present numbering system as 1704 Jenkins Street. (Tax
map 035-4 Parcel 488)

SECTION II.
This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta-
Richmond County is subject to the following conditions:
That the only use of the property be limited to those uses
permitted in a B-1 zone and a furniture restoration business
staffed by handicapped individuals,
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
