ORDINANCE NO. 6935
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light .
Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property located on the southwest
comer of Walker Street and Thirteenth Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict
herewith and for other purposes: .
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting
property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the southwest corner of
Walker Street and Thirteenth Street; thence, in a
southerly direction along the northwest right-of-way
line of Thirteenth Street a distance of 279 feet, more
or less, to a point located on the north bank of the
former Augusta Canal; thence, in a northwesterly
direction along the north bank of the former Augusta
Canal a distance of 534 feet, more or less, to a point
located on the southwest right-of-way line of Walker
Street; thence, in an easterly direction along the
southwest right-of-way line of Walker Street a distance
of 414 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
This property contains approximately 1.74 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as 619
Thirteenth Street and 1310 Walker Street. (Tax Map 046-2
Parcels 087 and 088)

SECTION II.
This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta-
Richmond County is subject to the following conditions:
1) the only use of the property shall be a concrete plant, or
those uses permitted in the LI (Light Industry)
zone;
2) if the property ceases to be used for a concrete plant for 2
years or more, the zoning shall revert to LI.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
