An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property located on the northeast right-of-way line of Greene Street, 177.87 feet southeast of Cottage Street; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northeast right- of-way line of Greene Street, 177.87 feet southeast of Cottage Street; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 229.14 feet to a point located on the southwest bank of the Augusta Canal; thence, in a southeasterly direction along the southwest bank of the Augusta Canal a distance of 52 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 203 feet, more or less, to a point located on the "2_D(.- la\ northeast right-of-way line of Greene Street; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the northeast right-of- way line of Greene Street a distance of 55.85 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains .28 acres and is known as 1435 Greene Street. (Tax Map 036- 4 252) SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta - Richmond County is subject to the following conditions: 1) use of property shall be limited to a welding operation or those uses allowed in a LI (Light Industry) zone and 2) that there be no outside storage of materials or equipment. SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this l!i day of ^ ').4?~j- ,2006.
