HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6901 OLD GORDON HIGHWAY .r , l ORDINANCE NO. 6901 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone R-3B (Multiple-family Residential) affecting property located on the north right-of-way line of Gordon Highway, 1,950 feet, more or less, west of a point where Old Gordon Highway intersects; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) and Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone R-3B . . (Multiple-family Residential) affecting property as follows: z - 0(. .. 7 ') ~ , . Beginning at a point located on the north right-of-way line of Gordon Highway, 1,950 feet, more or less, west of a point where Old Gordon Highway intersects; thence, in a westerly direction along the north right-of-way line of Gordon Highway a distance of 950 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 1,139 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S 76030'11" W a distance of 1,343,71 feet to a ~oint; thence, N 14021'45" W a distance of 714.33 feet to a point; thence, N 76030'11" E a distance of 1,274.64' feet to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 1,507 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 560 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, S 12016'59" W a distance of 782.28 feet to a point; thence, S 24031'36" E a distance of 1,628.78 feet to a point; thence, S 24031'36" E a distance of 516.58 feet to a point; thence, S 14026'27" E a distance of 276.54 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 70 acres. (Part of Tax Map 080 Parcel 001 and Part of Tax Map 64 Parcel 004-1) SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 18- day of July, 2006.
