HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6898 DIXON AIRLINE ROAD MIKE PADGETT HIGHWAY ,/ / ORDINANCE No?69S* An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) with a Special Exception to establish an inert fill area per Section 24-2 (18) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta- Richmond County Zoning Ordinance affecting property located at a point 990 feet, more or less, south of the south right-of-way line of Dixon Airline Road and being 1,935 feet east of Mike Padgett Highway; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone HI (Heavy Industry) with a Special Exception to establish an inert fill area per Section 24-2 (18) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta-Richmond County Zoning Ordinance affecting property as follows: 2.;oc.~~8 Beginning at a point 990 feet, more or less, south of the south right-of-way line of Dixon Airline Road and being 1,935 feet east of Mike Padgett Highway; thence, S 07042'34" E a distance of 742 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 410 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 990 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, northerly direction a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 850 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 9.5 acres. (Tax Map 145 Part of Parcel 029-01) SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
