HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6887 MACK LANE . 1 ORDINANCE NO. 6887 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authoriz~d under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the east right-of-way line of Mack Lane, 225 feet, south of Tobacco Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended . by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone B-1 (Neighborhood Business) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the east right-of- way line of Mack Lane, 225 feet, south of Tobacco Road; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 451 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 75 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 450 feet, more or less, to a point located on the east right-of-way line of Mack Lane; thence, in a northerly direction along the east right-of-way line of MaCK Lane a distance of 75 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains .77 acres and is part of 2368 and 2370 Tobacco Road. (Part of Tax Map 154 Parcel 2-08 and Tax Map 154-2 Parcel 5) SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for Augusta-Richmond County is subject to the following conditions: 2- ..- O~ - 'I g 4 1) no access to Mack Lane; 2) a 6 foot wooden shadowbox fence to be erected and maintained along Mack Lane (including area rezoned in 2000); 3) a tree buffer to be erected and maintained that complies with the Augusta-Richmond Tree Ordinance (including area rezoned in 2000); 4) fence and buffer to be erected and inspected before a site plan shall be reviewed SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereofthis 1 ~ day of May ,2006.
