ORDINANCE NO. 6877
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light
Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the southwest
right-of-way line of Broad Street, 50 feet, more or less, southeast of the Augusta
Canal; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTIOl':! I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting
property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-
way line of Broad Street, 50 feet, more or less,
southeast of the Augusta Canal; thence, in a
southeasterly direction along the southwest right-of-way
line of Broad Street a distance of 39 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a
distance of 130 feet, more or less, to a point located
on the northeast bank of the Augusta Canal; thence, in a
northwesterly direction along the northeast bank of the
Augusta Canal a distance of 68 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance
of 73 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
This property contains approximately .09 acres and is
known under the present numbering system as 1694 Broad
Street. (Tax Map 35-2 Parcel 180)
SECTION II.
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 18_ day of April ,2006.
