ORDINANCE NO. 6876
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A
(Agriculture) to Zone R-1E (One-family Residential) affecting property located on the
east right-of-way line of Maddox Drive, 915 feet, more or less, north of
Wrightsboro Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone R-1E (One-family Residential)
affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the east right-of-way
line of Maddox Drive, 915 feet, more or less, north of
Wrightsboro Road; thence, in a northerly direction along
the east right-of-way line of Maddox Drive a distance of
383 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a
northeasterly direction a distance of 417 feet, more or
less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a
distance of 385 feet, more or less, to a point; thence,
in a southwesterly direction a distance of 220 feet,
more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly
direction a distance of 508 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning. The subject property contains
approximately 4.74 acres located on Maddox Drive. (Tax
Map 40 Parcel 30)

SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance is subject
to the following condition:
That no buildings may constructed within 185 feet of the right-of-
way of Maddox Drive.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
