HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6868 PEACH ORCHARD ROAD ORDINANCE NO. 6868 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone P-I (Professional) with a Special Exception to allow residential use per Section 20-2 (b) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta-Richmond County Zoning Ordinance affecting property located on the southeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road, 860 feet, more or less, southwest of Tobacco Road; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone A (Agriculture) to Zone P-I (Professional) with a Special Exception to allow residential use per Section'20-2 (b) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for Augusta-Richmond County Zoning Ordinance affecting property as follows: 2...- 0 l. - ;:2.0 Beginning at a point located on the southeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard Road, 860 feet, more or less, southwest of Tobacco Road; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 273 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southwesterly direction a distance of 117 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 300 feet, more or less, to a point located on the southeast right-of-way line of Peach Orchard road; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way .line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 200.0 feet to the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 1 acre and is known under the present numbering system as 3624 Peach Orchard Road. (Tax Map 155 Parcel 56) SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 2~ day of March ,2006. APPROVED THIS March 21 ,2006.
