' ORDINANCE NO. 6840 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business )affecting property located on the northwest comer of the intersection of Gordon Highway and Bobby Jones Expressway; and for the repeal of . ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: Beginning at a point located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Gordon Highway and Bobby Jones Expressway; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 230 feet, more or less, to a point located on the southeast right-of-way line of Holiday Inn Drive; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way line of Holiday Inn Drive a distance of 40 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 60 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction along the northwest right-of-way line of Holiday Inn Drive a distance of 370 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 488 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 334 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 608 feet, more or less, to a point located on the 2...0 S" -113 II"" . . Seaboard Coastline Railroad right-of-way; thence, in a northeasterly direction along the southeast right-of-way of the Seaboard Coastline Railroad a distance of 1,250 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southeasterly direction a distance of 805 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northeasterly direction a distance of 268 feet, more or less, to a point located on the west right- of-way line of Bobby Jones Expressway; thence, in a westerly direction along the west/northwest right- of-way line of Bobby Jones Expressway/Bobby Jones Expressway exit ramp a distance of 1,900 feet, more or less, to the point. of beginning. This property contains approximately 45 acres. (Tax map 68 Parcel 10, 10.3 and 126) SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps is subject to the following condition: That if the sale of the property is not completed within six months of the date of approval the zoning shall revert to the current LI zoning. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this 1~ day of Nov ,2005.
