ORDINANCE NO. 6836
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution ofthe State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone R-l (One.:.family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property located on the northwest right-of-way line of
Davant Street, 150 feet, more or less, north of Middleton Drive; and for the
repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-l (One-family Residential) to Zone B-
2 (General Business) affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located 92 feet, more or less, west of the northwest
right-of-way line ofDavant Street, 140 feet, more or less, north of Middleton
Drive; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 100 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 50 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 109 feet, more or
less, to a point located on the Columbia County boundary line; thence, in a
northeasterly direction along the Columbia County boundary line a distance
of 165 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a
distance of 100 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a
distance of lOO feet, more or less, to a point; thence, a distance of 210 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains
approximately .66 acres and is the rear part of 116 & ll8 Davant Street.

SECTION II. This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for
Augusta-RiChmond County is subject to the following conditions:
1. The site must be in full compliance with the Augusta-Richmond
County Tree Ordinance before the property may be occupied.
2. There shall be no access to Davant street.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
