HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 6831 MILLEDGEVILLE ROAD THOMAS LANE I' t "J ORDINANCE NO. 6831 An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta- Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta- Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R-1A (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located. on the south right-of-way of Milledgeville Road, 140 feet, more or less, east of Thomas Lane; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes: THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property as follows: 2. OS"- JC~ AI Beginning at a point located on the south right-of-way of Milledgeville Road, 140 feet, more or less, east of Thomas Lane; thence, in an easterly direction along the south right-of-way line of Thomas Lane a distance of 114 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a southerly direction a distance of 440 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 140 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 165 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a westerly direction a distance of 26 feet, more or less, to a point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 255 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. This property contains 1.23 acres and is known under the present numbering system as 2718 Milledgeville Road. (Tax Map71-3 Parcel 44) SECTION II. That this amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps be subject to the following stipulations: That no day care be operated on this property. SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Done in Open Meeting under the Common Seal thereof this l-S- day of 0<:: t ,2005.
