ORDINANCE NO. 6802
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the zoning from Zone R -1 A (One-
family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business) affecting property located on the
northwest comer of the intersection of Lovett Drive and Peach Orchard Road; and for the repeal
of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-1A (One-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General
Business) affecting property as follows:
Beginning at a point located on the northwest corner of
the intersection of Lovett Drive and Peach Orchard Road;
thence, N 67002' 15" W along the northeast right-of-way
line of Lovett Drive a distance of 437.23 feet to a
point located on the northeast corner of the
intersection of Floyd Road and Lovett Drive; thence, N
23032' 11" E along the southeast right-of-way line of
Floyd Road a distance of 99 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, S 66056'49" E a distance of 214.99 feet
to a point; thence, N 23041'05" E a distance of 100.50
feet to a point; thence, S 67002'43" E a distance of
218.80 feet to a point located on the northwest right-
of-way line of Peach Orchard Road; thence, in a
southwesterly direction along the northwest right-of-way
line of Peach Orchard Road a distance of 199.96 feet to
the point of beginning. This property contains 1.50
acres and is known under the present numbering system as
3125 & 3127 Peach Orchard Road. (Tax Map 110-3 Parcel
52 & 53)

Richmond County is subject to the following conditions:
That a no left turn sign be placed at the Lovett Drive
intersection and directional signage be included in the restaurant
parking lot encouraging patrons to utilize Floyd Road to connect
to Reedale Avenue to use the traffic signal at Peach Orchard Road.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
