An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960) together
with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the Comprehensive Zoning Map
from Constitution of the State of Georgia II by changing the zoning from Zone LI (Light Industry)
to ZoneR-lB (One-family Residential) affecting property located where the northwest right-.
of-way line of Gordon Highway intersects the northwest right-of-way line of Old
Gordon Highway; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Richmond
County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended by changing the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone LI (Light Industry) to Zone R-lB (One-family Residential) affecting
property as follows:

Beginning at a point located where the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon
Highway intersects the northwest right-of-way line of Old Gordon Highway;
thence, in a northwesterly direction a distance of 400 feet, more or less, to a point;
. thence, S 65025'12" W a distance of 1,202.83 feet to a point; thence, in a
southerly direction a distance of 375 feet, more or less, to a point located on the
northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway; thence, S 65025'12" W along
the northwest right-of-way line of Gordon Highway a distance of 60.0 feet to a
point; thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 266 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, N 86020'38" W a distance of 373.18 feet to a point; thence, N
24031'36" W a distance of 2009.61 feet to a point; thence, N 12016'59" E a
distance of 782.28 feet to a point; thence, in an easterly direction a distance of 4,
275 feet, more or less, to a point located on the northwest right-of-way line of Old
Gordon Highway; thence, in a southwesterly direction along the northwest right-
of-way line of Old Gordon Highway a distance of 938 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning. This property contains 124 acres. (part of Tax Map 64 Parcel
4.1)
SECTION II. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this
Ordinance are hereby repealed.
