AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF AUGUSTA-RICHMOND
COUNTY SECTION 1-2-8(a)3 "PURCHASING POLICY" TO PROVIDE
FOR A RE-STATED ~ 1-2-8(a)3 CAPTIONED "PURCHASING POLICY"
SO AS TO RAISE THE LIMIT OF THE PURCHASING AUTHORITY OF
THE ADMINISTRATOR TO $20,000.00 AND TO REPEAL ANY
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUST A-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION
AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF SAME, that the Augusta-
Richmond County Code be amended to provide an increase in the purchasing power and
authority of the administrator by raising the limit of that authority to $ 20,000.00. To provide for
a re-stated sub-section (a)3 in Section 1-2-8 captioned "Purchasing Policy" and to repeal any
conflicting ordinances.
SECTION 1:
Sub-section (a)3 in Section 1-2-8, "PURCHASING POLICY" is hereby deleted from the Code of
Augusta and is re-stated in its entirety as follows:
(a)3 The low bid meeting specifications is selected and does not exceed the budgeted
amount by ten (l0 ) percent and not exceeding twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00).
SECTION 2:
Allla\V,s or ordinances or parts of laws or ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3:
This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption in accordance with applicable laws.
