ORDINANCE NO. 6732
An Ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission effective September 16, 1997 (Ordinance No. 5960)
together with all amendments which have been approved by either the Augusta-
Richmond County Commission as authorized under the Home Rule Provisions of the
Comprehensive Zoning Map from Constitution of the State of Georgia" by changing the
zoning from Zone R-3B (Multiple-family Residential) to Zone B-2 (General Business)
with a Special Exception to allow an auto body operation per Section 22-2 of the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance affecting property located on the southwest
right-of-way line of Bayvale Road, 1,300 feet, more or less, northwest of
Gordon Highway; and for the repeal of ordinances in conflict herewith and for other
purposes:
THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY COMMISSION HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners of
Richmond County on the 15th day of November, 1983, the caption of which is set out above, is amended
by changing the Comprehensive Zoning Map from Zone R-3B (Multiple-family Residential) to Zone B-2
(General Business) with a Special Exception to allow an auto body operation per Section 22-2 of the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance affecting property as follows:

Beginning at a point located on the southwest right-of-way line of Bayvale
Road, 1,300 feet, more or less, northwest of Gordon Highway; thence, S
54057' 10" W a distance of 174.80 feet to a point; thence, S 34052'02" E a
distance of 817.30 feet to a point; thence, S 83030'06" W a distance of
498 feet, more or less, to a point located on the centerline of Rocky Creek
Tributary #7; thence, in a northwesterly direction along the centerline of
Rocky Creek Tributary #7a distance of 1,000 feet, more or less, to a point,
thence, in a northerly direction a distance of 819 feet, more or less, to a
point; thence, S 35040' 14" E a distance of 758.41 feet to a point; thence, N
54054'52" E a distance of 174.90 feet to a point located on the southwest
right-of-way line of Bayvale Road; thence, S 35013'24" E along the
southwest right-of-way line of Bayvale Road a distance of 74.81 feet to
the point of beginning. This property contains approximately 11 acres.

SECTION II.
This amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Maps for
Augusta-Richmond County are subject to the following stipulations:
1. That there be no access to Bayvale Road.
2. That there be a 40' vegetative buffer along the property line adjacent to the lots that
front Bayvale Road.
SECTION III. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
