ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AUGUSTA-RICHMOND COUNTY
CODE TITLE 2, CHAPTER 1, SECTION 3, TO PROVIDE A
REGULATORY FEE; TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE; TO
REPEAL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE AUGUSTA-RICHMOND
COUNTY COMMISSION, AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE AUTHORITY OF
THE SAME AS FOllOWS:
SECTION 1. The Augusta-Richmond County Code, Title 2, Chapter 1, Section 3
(c), is hereby amended to provide a regulatory fee for Automobile Junk Yards, Salvage
Yards, and Recycling Facilities, which shall read as follows:
92-1-3. ADMINISTRATIVE AND REGULATORY FEE STRUCTURE;
OCCUPATION TAX STRUCTURE.
(a) A non-prorated, nonrefundable administrative fee of $ 72.00 shall be
required on all business and occupation tax accounts for the initial start-up,
renewal, or reopening of those accounts.
(b) A regulatory fee will be imposed as provided under O.C.G.A. 948-13-9 on
those applicable businesses. A regulatory fee may not include an administrative
fee.
(c) The regulatory fee schedule for persons in occupations and professions
shall be as set below, and may be amended from time to time:
Adult Entertainment Establishments $2500.00 per year
Adult Entertainment (live) $100.00 per day
Amusement Parks $500.00 per year
Arcades $250.00 per year
Automobile Junk Yards. Salvaae Yards and Recyclina Facilities $250.00
per year
Contractors $ 50.00 per year
Dance Halls $100.00 per year
Craft Show Promoters $300.00 per year
Flea Markets
1 through 10 rental spaces $300.00 per year
II or more rental spaces $500.00 per year
Fortune Tellers $500.00 per year
Going Out of Business Sales $100.00 per 90 days

SECTION 2. All laws or ordinances or parts of laws or ordinances in conflict with
this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Should any sentence, section, subsection or provisions of this
ordinance, or application of a provision of this Ordinance, be declared invalid or
unconstitutional by any Court or other competent jurisdiction, such declaration shall nor
affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any part thereof that is not specifically
declared as invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances previously adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia which are in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent necessary to eliminate such
conflict.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall become effective on upon adoption.
